I will dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the novice is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly going ahead.
